Why is a finalist in the Australia Open tennis Grand Slam tennis event only get 1200 points, while the?
other three events Grand Slam (French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S.) Open runnerups get 1400 points. Meanwhile, the champion of the Grand Slam events (the four) all get 2000 points. I read this in the ATP website on the internet, but not explain. Please help me. Thank you.
Ja, no, not because Australia Open is the smallest of the Grand Slams (although that is the perception of many). This year, the ATP is the restructuring of the points classification.
