I'm pretty sure that if you have Wi-Fi can only play 1 player. or you can try to bring friends friend code and then go to the door. Ive never personally tried, but I think you need not be connected to the internet ... and if you're wondering if he can play with 2 remote controls in the Wii the same, then no.
