Brain Quest Grades
Does anyone have any activity for ten minutes to fill a third grade class when the teacher is removed?
I will begin teaching students before and I've been told that sometimes the teacher must leave class. I do not want to just stand in front of the room with nothing to say, but during the first two weeks lessons it teaches. I thought about making my own questions search of the brain to review past lessons grade, but otherwise I do not know what to do. I do not want who are bored or restless, loses control and then look incompetent. Help!
I can get my children to continue working on what they were doing. Normally, I do a lot of direct instruction than most of the times I have to go out or go in his time is independent. I have popcorn points in my classroom where children earn points for good behavior toward a popcorn party. I offer two points if the popcorn get a good report, as I I'm out of the room. I give two children as "dependents" and determine if the class wins. Another thing that works if I have the whole group. I can play in the number line of play. Type 1 100 ---------- --- on the board. Have the child guess a number (and one I'm thinking in my head). Suppose a child says 27. I will say, "Too low" and I change my line number this 27--------- 100. Continue the process by saying too high or too low and, finally, to guess the number, and in turn to lead Kiddos the next game. Fun, children are involved. etc. ..
